77th Independence Day Celebration and Introduction of New Office Uniform for 2025
The main Independence Day event organized by the Navithanveli Divisional Secretariat on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the introduction of the office uniform for the year 2025 for the Divisional Secretariat officers were held at the Divisional Secretariat premises on 04th February 2025 under the leadership of the Divisional Secretary Mrs. Rakhulanayahi Sajindran.
The Divisional Secretary inaugurated the event by hoisting the national flag and playing the national anthem. School children also participated in cultural attire reflecting the ethnic and religious diversity of Sri Lanka. A special speech was delivered by the Divisional Secretary on Independence Day and a sapling was planted in the Divisional Secretariat premises.
Navithanveli Divisional Secretariat Assistant Divisional Secretary Mr. P. Piranavarupan, Accountant Mr. K. Rizvi Yahzar, Deputy Planning Director Mrs. T. Kirupairaja, Administrative Officer Mr. O. G. Keerthi Kusuminda, Administrative Grama Niladhari Mr. Manoj Indrajith, Samurdhi Headquarters Manager Mr. S. Sivam, Chief Management Service Officers of all divisions, Office and Field Staff, Grama Niladhari Officers, Economic Development Officers, Samurdhi Development Officers, Office Employement Service Officers and all other officers participated in the newly introduced uniform.
Meanwhile, under the guidance of the Divisional Secretary, Independence Day events were held at the Grama Niladhari Divisions of the Navithanveli Divisional Secretariat Division with the participation of field officers and the general public.
