Navithanveli Divisional Secretariat Launches "Quit" National Program to Combat Drug Use
The awareness rally and the oath-taking ceremony for officers against drug use, marking the launch of the Divisional Secretariat-level component of the Presidential Secretariat's national operation "A Nation United"—themed "Quit"—to eradicate drug abuse, was held on October 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
The event, coordinated by the Divisional Secretariat's Development Officer for the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board, A.K. Hana, was chaired by the Navithanveli Divisional Secretary, Mrs. Rahulanayahi Sajindren.
Attendees included the Divisional Secretariat Accountant, Mr. K. Rizvi Yahzar, Samurdhi Head Quarters Manager, Mr. S. Sivam, Administrative Grama Niladhari, Mr. Manoj Indrajith, Additional District Registrar, Mr. P. Niththiyananthan, along with Chief Management Service Officers, and office and field officers.
Furthermore, clarifications regarding this program were also provided by the Divisional Secretary.
