Commencement of Duties for the Year 2026 at Divisional Secretariat, Navithanveli
The official ceremony to commence duties for the first working day of the year 2026 was held on January 1, 2026, at the Divisional Secretariat premises under the patronage of the Divisional Secretary, Mrs. Rahulayahi Sajindren.
The event began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Divisional Secretary, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Subsequently, all staff members of the Divisional Secretariat took the official Public Service Affirmation (Oath).
The ceremony was attended by several staff-grade officers, including the Accountant Mr. K. Risvi Yahzar, Deputy Planning Director Mrs. Thilakarani Kirubairajah, Administrative Officer Mr. O. G. K. Kusuminda, and Samurdhi Headquarters Manager Mr. S. Sivam. Other field officers and office staff were also present to mark the start of the new administrative year.
