National Award Ceremony on Social Security (North & East)
In the Social Security National Award Ceremony (North and East) presented by the Sri Lanka Social Security Board, Navithanveli Divisional Secretariat received the award for three years 2019, 2020, 2021.
Also, this outcome was achieved under the leadership of the Divisional Secretary, with the participation of all staff grade officers, Samurdhi Development Officers, Grama Niladhari Officers, Economic Development Officers, and other officers of the Divisional Secretariat, and on behalf of the Divisional Secretariat, Divisional Secretary Mr.S.Ranganathan received this award.
Also, Navithanveli Divisional Secretariat Samurdhi Development Officer, who won the second place in Sri Lanka for joining most number of beneficiaries for the year 2020, Mrs.Sumathi Ranjan also received the award.
Along with this, Eastern Provincial Divisional Secretariats were also honored for reaching the national achievement level. Navithanveli and Sammanthurai divisional secretariats from Amparai district, Kaluvanchigudi, Wellaveli, Pattipalai, Manmunai North, Chenkaladi and Kiran from Batticaloa district and Tambalagamam divisional secretariat from Trincomalee district were honoured.
Senior Coordinating Officer for North Eastern Provinces of Social Security Board Mr. P. Pradeepan was the chief guest in the said event and Mr. Saman Handaragama and General Manager of Social Security Board Mr.K.A.S.P. were the special guests. Kaluvarachi also Deputy General Manager of Social Security Board Mr. S.W. Laxman also attended. Mr. TS Lakmal, Development Manager of Social Security Board and Mr. Ranjith Deshanayaka, Senior Coordination Officer for Central and Northern Provinces of Social Security Board also participated as guests of honour. Ampara District Secretary Mr. JMA Douglas, Additional District Secretary Mr. V. Jagatheesan and many other dignitaries participated.
