A street drama about ways to avoid violence against women and children due to drug use
An awareness street drama related to the violence caused to women and children due to drug use and ways to avoid it, which was jointly organized by Navithanveli Divisional Secretariat Women & Children Division and Muslim Women's Research Action Front, was held on 17.10.2023 at Central Camp-02 Grama Niladhari Division under Navithanveli Divisional Secretariat.
This street play was presented by Akkaraipattu Aruvi DramaTroupe. Divisional Secretary R.Rahulanayahi, Deputy Director of Planning Mrs.T.Kirubairaja, Muslim Women Research Action Lead Ampara District Coordinator Mrs.U.L.Habila and their office officials, National Hazardous Waste Control Board North Eastern Province Coordinator M.M.G.B.H Rasad, Amparai District Secretariat Officer for Non-Governmental Organizations Mr.I.L.M.Irfan participated in the event, Officer-in-Charge of Children and Girls Division of Central Camp Police Station and Police Officers, Grama Niladharies of Central Camp 1,2,3,4, Chalambaikeni-4 Grama Niladhari Divisions, Economic Development Officers, Community Development Officers and other field officers. Many people from the village also participated and watched this awareness street play.
