Sinhala & Tamil New Year Sports Festival-2024
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the National Youth Services Council, and the Navithanveli Divisional Secretariat, in collaboration with the Divisional Youth Association Federation, organized the SMART YOUTH Sinhala and Tamil New Year Sports Festival, which was held at the Km/Sm/Ranamadu Hindu College play ground, and Navithanveli Divisional Secretary Mrs. R. Sajindran presided over the event.
Ampara District Additional District Secretary Mr. V. Jagatheesan was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the sports events.
Sports festivals for both genders were held to reflect the traditional innovative cultural arts and culture, and the students who won the district level sports competitions and were selected for the provincial level were garlanded and felicitated here with a memento.
On this occasion, Assistant Divisional Secretary Mr. P. Piranavarupan, Deputy Planning Director of Planning Mrs. T. Krubairaja, Samurthi Headquarters Manager Mr. S. Sivam, and other government officials like the Provincial Director of the National Youth Services Council, Veterinary Officer, Officer-in-Charge of Central Camp Police Station, Commanding Officer of Annamalai Military Camp, Divisional Council Secretary, Youth Services Council Office-in-Charge of Sainthamarudu Office, Divisional Secretariat Sports Officer, and Youth Service Officer participated along with members of sports clubs and youth clubs of the area and members of the general public.
