74th Independence Day Celebration at Divisional Secretariat
The main Independence Day events organized by the Navithanveli Divisional Secretariat on the occasion of the 74th National Independence Day of Sri Lanka were held on February 04 at the Divisional Secretariat premises.
The event was presided over by Navithanveli Divisional Secretary S. Ranganathan and the national flag was hoisted and the national anthem was played. A two-minute silent tribute was also paid to those who fought for freedom. The Divisional Secretary delivered a special address on Independence Day.
Divisional Secretariat Assistant Divisional Secretary P. Pranavarupan, Deputy Planning Director Mrs. R. Lathakaran, Administrative Officer K. Yogeswaran, Administrative Grama Niladhari Manoj Indrajith, Samurdhi Headquarters Manager S. Sivam, Samurdhi Managers, Divisional Chief Management Service Officers and all other divisional secretariat staff attended
Meanwhile, under the guidance of the Divisional Secretary, Independence events were held in 20 Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Navithanveli Divisional Secretariat with the participation of field officers and the general public.
